Princess Adora was born to King Randor and Queen Marlena of Eternia as is her fraternal twin brother, Adam. When the two were babies, Hordak, leader of the Horde, kidnapped Adora from her crib and departed Eternia to another dimension... a planet called Etheria. Since then, no one knew of Adora's whereabouts... until the Sorceress of Castle Greyskull awoke to a reaction from The Sword of Protection. The Sorceress sent Prince Adam to a dimensional portal with The Sword of Protection and to look for someone who is destined to use The Sword of Protection. Adam walks through the dimensional portal to Etheria, a planet where The Horde reigned supreme and a small faction of rebels fought to wrest control from Hordak's iron hand. Eventually, Prince Adam... as He-Man... found the person he was to look for and to give this person the sword... Adora! Adora had been raised by Hordak and his personal spellbinder, Shadowweaver, and had convinced her that the Horde is on the side of good and that the rebels were ruling Etherian with an iron hand. Ultimately, Adora learned the truth about the Horde... and that she is Adam's long lost twin sister and that the sword was meant to her. With the sword, she shouted "For the honor of Greyskull", she became 'She-Ra: Princess of Power' and leads the rebellion against the Horde. However, because of her destiny, parallel to He-Man's, she remains on Etheria to fight against Hordak and to wrest control from the Horde on all of Etheria.
